Faulty goods-bad customer srvice

On the 13/11 dropped of my new cellphone which was faulty-touch screen was not working and cover broken.
Ben calling Benmore and e mailing area manager-Zanele every day as no one supplies any feedback.
25/11 Received mail from HVRC repairs@MTN. 26/11 Spoke to repair division-consultant advised that sticker stuck over job card number-gave reference ***. 27/11 Phoned again. 30/11 received e mail- IME number: *** . Please be advised the unit has been booked today and it is awaiting to be assessed by a technician for warranty assessment-This is 2 weeks after new device was taken in.
01/12 Spoke to Gugu-informed us that they will be taking phone and cover back to Benmore-where we wil have to go back to Benmore to fil a form in so Benmore can send back to repair division.
This is a new phone which should have been replaced. We are going away next week and cannot be without a phone. This is almost 3 weeks without a new phone I contract and no one wants to assist. Once MTN have you in a contract the customer service is non existent. This goes against the consumer protection act where you have purchased a new item that is faulty and has not been replaced
