FAULTY (FAWLTY) MTN TOWER

Since 2 January we have not been able to access internet or use our MTN device for data related issues. We have e-mailed and phoned MTN or numerous occasions but nothing has been done as yet. We live and work on a farm and do not have access to Telkom lines. We rely on the tower for all communications for our business. 90% of the time calls to our cellphones go straight through to voicemail. We do not receive a \missed call"notification and it takes anything between 12 hours and 48 hours to receive a voice message! We have had contracts with MTN for over 20 years and this is utterly ridiculous! Until yesterday I have been advised that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the tower. I was even advised that the problems we are experiencing are due to the fact that we use Apple i-devices! I finally spoke to someone yesterday who told me that a fault was logged on 18 February (Faulty Tower reference ***). Our one contract is due to be renewed/upgraded but unfortunately the other contract only expires in 22 months! In desperation I bought a Vodacom wireless device which works like a dream. I wish I could get out of our MTN contract totally!!!!"""
