False billing by MTN

My telephone number was ported from MTN to Vodacom in January 2015.

MTN have continued to bill me and have now suspended my account which does not actually exist.

So far MTN owes me over R15,000 for debits taken from my account for a cell phone contract that does not exist.

I have sent numerous emails and reported the matter at 2 different branches of MTN but have received no joy.

If you try and call you just get recorded voice after recorded voice and no resolution or person you can actually talk to.

It's pathetic! I'm sure they will soon hand me over for the non-payment of the non-existent account!

Thank you for your post

We are terribly sorry for the inconvenience that you have experienced as a result of this. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

Please be advised that a credit note for the invoices dated 2014-12-01 to 2016-08-01 was passed on 2016-09-13 to reconcile the account. We have requested the copy of the credit note so that we can log a request for a banking refund.

We sincerely hope that the above is in order and that we are able to restore your faith in us.

Kind Regards
Siphumezo
