False advertising/claims

So I have a cell phone contract with MTN which, according to their App, is due for an upgrade today (11/01/2023). I started receiving calls from them last month already (22/12/2022) to be specific) telling me I'm due for an upgrade. I waited until today before proceeding as I didn't want to pay any penalties for an early upgrade. I then called MTN Direct ***) around 10:40 this morning & a lady assisted me with the upgrade (I called from ***). She said she completed the upgrade & sold me a courier company will call me to arrange delivery of the phone. She also confirmed there will be no penalties or additional charges. The hardware fee for the new phone will only kick in when the hardware fee for my current phone finishes. When I did not receive the order number via sms/email, I called the same number a few hours later & I spoke to another lady who was far from helpful & was more interested in getting me off the phone. She said she couldn't see an upgrade being done on my contact. She told me there will be penalties as its an early upgrade - I asked her why the info from her & the previous lady was different & she couldn't answer me. I was too frustrated with this lady & just dropped the call. I then called a third time & spoke to another lady who was much more helpful & knowledgeable. She told me that MTN has changed its upgrade policy last year & my upgrade date is now seen as an early upgrade. She then proceeded to tell me I will be paying for 2 contracts for a period of 3-4 months. So now it turns out that my upgrade date it only on the 13/02/2023 - this is false advertising as the App shows the 11/01/2023. And each of the ladies I spoke to gave me different information. I work for the company who provides MTN with their medical aid. When one of our consultants gives incorrect information, they are quick to hold us to that & expect us to honour it. So I expect the same in that I want MTN to honour the information provided to me by the first lady I spoke to - I want my upgrade actioned & no penalties charged.
