False advertising and literally No customer service

My daughter broke the screen of my phone but because I was due for a corporate upgrade I didnt mind too much. Having been with MTN for years I thought this would be simple.

My husband then brought me home the advertised specials and I really wanted a fitness device. So I choose the option with a new Samsung A7 with a Samsung gera 2 fitness device...perfect. I call the call centre and they dont have stock so they send me to the branch at Coastlands - which I only find out when I arrive is closed for renovations!!

So I go to to Gateway but they dont have stock and cant tell me when they will. So I go to the Durban north branch who says it will take a week max...Geat...so I specify to please order me the small watch - being a women. 4 WEEKS LATER I get a call - the watch and phone are there - but the watch is a large DO I MIND? YES - they will order me a small - 4WEEKS LATER I AM STILL WAITING - and yes I called and yes I got NO RESPONSE!

So I give up - call the corporate call centre - tell them I want to stay on my current contract and want a Galaxy S7 in black... perfect they say there is a limit on it and that I just need to have it lifted....what they dont tell me is that they are going to upgrade me immediatley and wipe out all my airyime ann only load new airtime in a weeks time!! So I cant make calls, they cant lift the limited they can only send an e-mail to ask someone else to do it, I cant talk to a supervisor, they can send the supervisor an e-mail, I cant cancel the upgrade in fact there is nothing anybody can do about anything...oh and I dont even have enough airtime on my phone to buy airtime!!

*** ...wait for..now to cancel my upgrade (which I did an hour before calling them) I have to wait for them to courier the new device to me, then I have to decline the device and send it back - way to waste your own money MTN....

Then I get told I have to wait four months to port?! which Vodacom has since told me is blatantly untrue..

Maybe R1200 a month for a cellphone contract in meaningless to MTN -hopefully I can port to someone who cares about their customers and doesnt FALSELY ADVERTISE upgrade deals
