False Advertising

Dear MTN I sent a complaint via you complaint procedure and yet I haven't received feedback! I have sent you a message via facebook and yet no response. I have phoned you on numerous occassion and yet my issue is still not resolved. Previously I used to get maximum bars (signal) at my house now I am having troubles even getting one bar. This has been happening for the past 3 months which is completely unacceptable. Next I am sick and tired of receiving adverts via my phone. Why do you sell our numbers to other databases. It is completely unaceotable and a violation of my privacy. Imagine I buy a sim card today and buy tomorrow I am being harassed by advertising agencies and being bombarded by text messages. What you are doing is wrong completely and utterly wrong. Even ethnically it is wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dear Tim This will be the second complaint I will be lodging still waiting for a response from my first complaint! Secondly in response to the opt out system why do you opt people in in the first place why don't you give consumers the option to opt in. When one buys a MTN sim card no where does it state that a consumer is opted into a database where they will be receiving consistent adverts against their will. That is a contravention of consumers' rights! No wonder the mobile telecommunication industry is getting a lot of stick cause clearly you(industry) has little regards to following and adhering to the law. Even the Nigeria fine could of been avoided!
