False advertising

Every time I buy a data bundle from MTN, I get the following sms back:

Y'ello! You've purchased a once-off 10GB Internet. Get 60GB data bundle for R499 p.m. data only SIMs. Available at MTN Stores. See www.mtn.co.za for Ts and Cs.

So according to this message you can buy a 60GB data bundle for R499 from a MTN store if you have a data only sim. Wrong. The stores have never heard of this deal. Apparently there is a deal where you get a new contract for 20GB + 40GB night owl. But the message clearly states, Get 60GB "Data bundle". I'll even take the deal if it is 20GB + 40GB, but you can't. It isn't a data bundle as stated in the sms, it is a complete new sim.

I've tried to explain this to about 10 people from MTN over the phone, but they all think I am wrong and the last person put the phone down in my ear. If you advertise a 60GB data bundle for R499, that is what I want.

Regards

Werner

Sorry, the deal is 20GB + 20GB night express, so I don't know where the 60GB comes from.

Nobody has contacted me. I don't want a new sim, I want a data bundle as advertised. Next thing you are going to tell me I read it wrong. I've been through this a couple of times. You advertised, and is still advertising 60GB data bundle for R499. Anyway I went to the advertising ombudsman, hopefully they will sort it out.
