Failure to transmit invoices
Since the inception of a contract to provide telecommunication services we had been struggling to obtain legal VAT invoices from MTN. In attempting to resolve this we came to an agreement with the store manager at Kolonade, Ms Belinda Lombard, to transmit VAT invoices via email to us, on a monthly basis. She undertook to ensure that we received VAT invoices. We configured a reminder for her on Outlook. She subsequently declined the reminder and failed to send VAT invoices. When following up on this Belinda Lombard indicated that she had declined the reminder in error. We did not receive any VAT invoices and upon following up again Ms Lombard indicated that she did not want to send the invoices any longer, and offered as an excuse that the branches does not deal with invoices. This was inconsistent with previously correspondence and undertakings.

MTN appears unable or unwilling to send VAT invoices, though we receive account statements successfully. All attempts to have this apparently minor issue resolved were met with a mixture of bad attitude and incompetence.
