Failure to repair Apple iPhone 5
My wife Angela Buckard took her phone into the above mentioned MTN dealer on the 25/06/15 due to the phone not retaining its charge. It was close to the phone running out of its guarantee which was on the 16th of the following month.
MTN were on strike at the time and the lady told my wife she was not sure when they would get it back. Anyway she processed the paperwork and took the phone. We discovered a few weeks after that she went on leave and the phone was only sent in on the 7/07/15. A few weeks after we took it in we got a call to say the \"find my iPhone"function was active. We went back to MTN to ascertain how to deactivate it.
My wife did this on our computer which told her that she was successful but a few days later they called again to ask us to deactivate it. This went on a few times until eventually they claim they sent it in to Apple to do it and charged us R380.00. Once this was done they returned the phone unrepaired back to Kloof MTN wanting us to complete a new repair which was now 17/08 and now outside the guarantee period and we would have to pay? We submitted the phone for repair on the 25/06 so feel that this was a lot of skullduggery. """
