Failure to disclose terms & agreements of contract

On 15th October 2015 I upgraded my cellular via Mtn Call Centre and accepted the promotion of the Apple iPhone 6 on the MTN My Choice 200 contract with Top Up. I wrote down all the details discussed during the call & explained that I wanted a cheaper contract than the one I was currently on. Once I started being billed for the phone I realised that It was more expensive than discussed & I thought it was because I was using too much data a being topped up but it was only later when I studied my bill that I realised I was being billed an additional R250 pm which I do not recall being advised about. I also did not receive a copy of my contract with my handset and would have queried this amount if it had been made clear to me from the outset in the agreement. Early in December I emailed customer care and was advised on 10 Dec that my contract included a R250 pm fee for the handset over the 24 mnth period. I requested a copy of the transcript of the call where this was explained to me and to date have received no further response. Dealing by email via the customer care section is not user friendly hence my decision to use Hello Peter. Thank you Ina Louw
