Failing to cancel contract on request or respond
I cancelled my MTN contract via call centre on 9 April. I requested confirmation over the phone that no further steps were required and my contract would be cancelled. I was told my contract would be cancelled.My sim card then stopped working the very next day. <br> <br> 2 weeks later, i received an email saying i needed to tell them if i wanted my number transferred to pre-paid, and they cannot cancel my contract until i tell them that. I had already answered that question clearly over the phone in the initial call to cancel the contract. <br> <br> I have responded and requested that MTN revert to their original commitment to cancel the contract. According to our records, the contract has been cancelled and migrated to prepaid. There is an amount of R818.41 outstanding, this is for usage from 01 April until the 04 May.
