FAILED TO KEEP MY CONDITIONS THE SAME
I had a contract with Nashua Mobile which I had limited to R100 of usage per month. Once i had reached that limit, my phone would be locked until the following month.
MTN then took over from Nashua. According to me, everything that I had stipulated with Nashua should have held with MTN and i was advised nothing would change because of the change.
I pay about R328 for my contract but was debited R3422.45 on the 28th of December 2015. Please be advised that I was not even notified prior that i would be debitrd with such a large amount!
I call the call center 29/12/2015 and am told MTN does not have the capability to cap my usage as Nashua did and cutting the phone \fails on the network". Who's fault is that and why was I not notified after the change so i can cancel the contract? I was also toldMTN does not reverse charges!
I am extremely upset at how this was handled!
1. They fail to keep my conditions as they were with Nashua
2. They fail to let me know a large sum of money will be debitted! How do they even know i can afford such a large amount being taken at once?!
IS THIS FAIR?!!! Worse I barely uese the phone in question but had peace of mind knowing it would be cut off"""

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused. Kindly note that the Bill limit service is not accurate and according to the Application form from Nashua the user still needs to monitor the usage.
We will however credit you for the Data charges billed on the 01 December 2015, please note that this is a once off credit and you will need to monitor your usage as no further credits will be done. Credit will reflect on your MTN account within 72 working hours.
The following clause was copied from the Nashua Application form:
\You accept that such a call limit is not a guaranteed service and there may be delays in the activation of the call limit or a delay in receiving the usage data from the Networks. You understand that even if the call limit does not lock your account or notify you that you are over the limit
