Fail to deliver

To take you from the start. I app**** for a contract at MTN Direct, I was approved on the 7 August 2017. On the device I had delivery period of 3-10 work days. After 10 days I phoned just to find out that they switched delivery company’s and they are sorry for the delay. Then I was told that my package was sent to the delivery company and should make contact soon. Past Friday 25 August I phoned once more to find out about my delivery. Apparently the delivery company will contacting me at the latest today 28 August 2017 (as per discussion on Friday). I’m not holding my breath on anyone contacting me today regarding the delivery of my phone. Just so sad they are going to debit my account for something I don’t have.

Overall the point I want to make is why do I have to contact MTN number of times to know what’s going on regarding my delivery. I’m currently a Vodacom customer and beginning to wonder if the shift to MTN was a bad move

Good Day,

Thank you for your post.

We apologize for the inconveniences that you have experienced because of the lapse in service. We completely understand the frustration it causes.

We have introduced a new system that later gave teething issues and as a result customers ended having to wait for delivery of devices longer than what the process permits. We have reverted to the old system with our courier service partners. This is so we can correct the errors and try to get all customers what is due to them. This may however take a bit of time to resolve.

We apologise immensely for this matter and the service you have received from us thus far. Do note that we are actively trying to resolve this matter and your patience with this is highly appreciated.

Kind Regards,
