I held a 2G Modem Data Bundle Contract with MTN since JULY 2011 {SIMCard # ***}. The cost was R149 per month, increasing to R199 after 2 years, & reducing to R125 thereafter. I have been telephonically informed by an MTN salesperson that my last Contract ended on 30 SEPTEMBER 2015.
On 1 OCTOBER 2015, MTN deducted R3779-58 [THREE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED & SEVENTY-NINE RAND & FIFTY-EIGHT CENTS] from my Bank Account. I definitely never authorized this, & received no communication from MTN in this regard.
I e-mailed MTN Customer Care on 9 OCTOBER, requesting details as to the R3779-58 deduction, an explanation as to when the data was allegedly utilized, & documents to cancel my Contract.
No response for 5 days, so I e-mailed again on 14 OCTOBER.
Deafening silence, so, on 28 OCTOBER, 19 days after my original complaint, I e-mailed MTN Customer Care + sales@mtnbusiness + PAIA@mtn + webmaster@mtn + consumer@icasa. Nothing.
I want detailed billing, the computer / url / date / whatever info to ascertain from whence the usage allegedly arose, confirmation my Contract was cancelled, & a refund of the amount debited.
Facebook & hellopeter are full of MTN complaints. Please help me !!
