Empty Promises-Filled with Lies

On the 28 October 2016 I took out 2 new contracts from MTN both on the Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion. The contracts where taken out at the Fairlands MTN Store in Randburg. One of the contracts was my previous number that I ported to MTN and the other number was a New contract number. I received the 2 new sim cards from the store consultant. The number that was ported works fine and I have already received my first bill for the number. The second sim card received, (sim no. ********** 048) has not yet been activated by MTN, today being 03 January 2017, and no cell number has yet been issued. Upon calling MTN activations they referred me back to the store I signed the contract at. When enquiring from the store, they continue to say that they are waiting for MTN activation to activate the number. Now I am sitting with a sim card that I cannot use and am still awaiting activation from MTN. MTN claim to be the 2016 preferred network, but from what I can see, it is better to be with the cheaper competitors. I am lost for words at this point as I don't know how much longer to wait for activation or if I should just throw the sim card away as I may be wasting my time.
