Empty promises

On 3 January 2016 I wrote a review on hellopeter to complain about my contract with MTN that I wanted to cancel, but I couldn't because it was 'with their legal department'. On hellopeter Nompumelelo (REQ ********** ) from MTN's legal department responded with "Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience experienced. Please note the matter has been escalated to management of our legal department for urgent attention and they will revert back to you with feedback." No one came back to me and I accepted that the problem has been sorted out. What a surprise after 21 months!!! I started receiving sms's stated that my account is in breach of my agreement. "Payment is due immediately" I spoke to Bongiwe at MBD inc. on 24 August to mail me all the particulars of the case against me, but to no avail! I send a mail to ********** on 1 September. Also no response. When this issue could have been resolved in January 2016 as promised by their legal department they just let it be and gave me the impression that the problem was sorted. Now all of a sudden they come with their threats from their lawyers. After almost 2 years! Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about MTN after this ordeal. When they rep**** to my email from 3 Jan 2016 they put my mind at ease...but doing what they are busy now? Shameful!!! Ref no in question: ********** ********** 75
