****ed off and disappointed!
I took out a wifi contract with mtn in december 2025. I was told it would be R350 per month for the duration of the contract (12months). January 2026, my first debit order was paid with no issues. February 2026 again no issues. End of March, mtn tried to deduct 2 debit orders. One for R350 and another for R92. I reversed the debit order for R92 and left the agreed amount of R350. I then called in to find out what the R92 was for. I was then told that 1st February the price had increased to about R400. I then logged a complaint on the 9th April regqrding this matter because nobody informed me that the price was going to increase after 1 month. The complaint was closed 1 hour later with no contact being made by mtn. On the 10th April, my wifi was switched off. This is a huge problem because I WORK FROM HOME! I did not have airtime to call mtn again so 2weeks later i finally got a mtn prepaid sim card and called in, this was on 21st April. I spoke to agent 1 for 45minutes requested to speak to a manager was told that there is no manager on duty then placed me on hold for 15 minutes only to drop the line. I called back spoke to agent 2 for another 38 minutes requested to speak to a manager again was on hold for 20 minutes then the line was cut AGAIN! so i called in again, spoke to agent 3 for about 15 minutes was placed on hold waiting for a manager for about 20 minutes when finally MPUMELELO NYEMBE spoke to me. Again I had to repeat myself with all the details. He told me he would have this escalated so the calls can be listened too and then would get back to me. He even gave me his email address. Until today I have had no feedback from mtn what so ever and my next payment is due next week. I have paid the agreed amount of R350 for March but still had no service for the entire month. I sent an email to Mpumelelo Nyembe on Wednesday (23:04:2026) to date, no reply at all. MTN has no regard for their customers. They have sold me this package under false pretences advertising the price for 12 months knowing there would be an increase the very next month. I want answers as you have costed me 3weeks of unbudgeted in office days due to my wifi being off.
