Don't bother calling MTN they will only lie.

I wanted to upgrade my data contract today I am currently on a 10GB package and wanted to get the advertised Lenovo I5 deal, but with 10GB Data not the advertised 3GB. So I called MTN Direct, The operator informed me that yes I can upgrade to the I5 on either the 10GB package for roughly R600 and something or the 20GB package for R800 and something. But sadly he informed me that the warehouse has no stock. when I asked him if I can get this special in store and if he can check who on the west rand has stock, He informed me that I can but he can only check the warehouse and they don't have stock but I can get the deal from the stores, and he can take my number to notify me once they have stock. When I arrived at MTN Keywest they told me they have stock but they can only downgrade me to the 3GB package upon which I'll pay penalties and they cant upgrade me on my current package. So I called MTN direct again... When they told me I cant upgrade to the I5, So I asked if I can get copies of the previous and current recordings (of which I was duly informed) When I was told in short I cant get a copy. The funny thing is I think it was the same operator both times. So how is it that I can upgrade then not? Does the honor of your word not count at MTN? Is bull**** the preferred sales pitch? Does calling a sales centre and asking for a price not count as a quote? Should a quote not be valid?

So MTN Ishie said: "Youu will be contacted as soon as possible."(quoted directly) How does 9 days count as soon as possible? Or was this one of those *lets say we'll contact him and hope he goes away...* moves?
