Does MTN just want your money every month?

I've had a contract with MTN for over 6 years, in November 2024 my contract was due for an upgrade. Someone phoned me and offer me a contract, but never pulled in through. I got charge the normal installment. I phoned beginning of December and they convinced me for a contract. Everything went through and were approved. When you phone MTN they tell you they will deliver on the 30th of December. 30 of December 2024 my next installment when off. I phoned them on the 31 of December to see what is going on and they told me I must phone the Mondo services, only to find out that the contract was not approved even though I received an email to say that the contract were upgraded. I phoned on the 31 of December to cancel the contract as I cannot be paying every installment and not have a phone. The guy told me that he will cancel the contract and my last installment will be end of January 2025, but I have not received any confirmation to say it was canceled. Does MTN just like to take my money without offering me anything? Or are they just giving you lies and hope for nothing so they can score the money every month?
