Does MTN actually care for their customers?

I have been with MTN since my first phone more than 20 years ago and I'm finally done with them. My contract ended in August 2025 but i was still debited in September for the full amount, incl device cost. i called to enquire why and could not get a straight answer. i was told i missed a payment and the last time my account was up to date was 2020. This was news to me since i have a debit order running and was never advised of this, despite numerous upgrades in between. Also, I have never missed 1 debit order. After alot of back and forth to get someone to given an answer, I still do not have one. luckily I recorded the call i was on eventually due to the circus i was witnessing. I asked to cancel my contract and was advised i will have yet another debit going through but they cannot tell me how much as billing was not closed. an absolute joke. Since then i have been harassed with phone calls of minimum 5 calls every day from all over MTN to upgrade my phone. The more i advised i cancelled this contract and wasn't interested, i just keep getting called. Out of all the useless agents, only 1 girl named Andile from MTN online took the time to check my account and advise me there is no cancellation notice on my account or else they wouldn't have me as a lead to call. This girl is too good to work for MTN and i would consider employing her myself. so now my chance to name and shame the useless people i spoke to on the day and i actually dare MTN and their management to listen to these calls and do QA on them and share the results; i called on 26 September 2025 from my cell number registered with MTN, if you care to trace the call, otherwise i can share the recording i have. to request the cancellation before i was transferred in your cancellations department, I spoke to Amathle, she clearly did not do her job and cancel the contract, which she advised would be cancelled in 20 working days and cancel on 23 Sept. She transferred me to Elsie in Accounts who had difficulty explaining the debit too and finally called her supervisor. i was put on hold in excess of 15 minutes with no one returning at any point to check in, in the hopes i would drop the call. Finally, Joshua, the supervisor came to the call to only advise me he will call me back with feedback and handed me back to Elsie to take my email address, because he couldn't bother. I pressed for a time when i would be called back and was advised 48 hours. i asked who will contact me and was advised Lungelo with contact me. to date, there has been no contact or answers and neither has my contract been cancelled. How can you convince anyone to stay with you if this is your service? if you are on prepaid, it is even worse. i expect to have my cancellation processed and answers for the over collection on my account,
