Do not upgrade MTN contract online

Do not upgrade your MTN contract online. The application on the web is quick and easy. They migrate your contract the same day, but then you start paying on the new contract for a phone you do not even have yet. It is near to impossible to reach MTN on the phone. Don't bother with 135 line. I phoned a store and they gave me a cell no. The guy did not make any effort to help me. He did not even log into my account. Just told me it take 5 to 10 working days to receive the phone via courier. MTN should state that when you apply for your phone online! Now I am paying double my normal premium as I did a higher upgrade for a phone I might only receive half a month later! Not acceptable. Was told if I went in store, that the procedure would have been immediate. I am full of regret now. Don't do the same. Should be more convenient online, but it is surely not.
