Diversion of Liability
I upgraded my contract with Mtn in November 2014 and took an iPhone 5S 32gb, earlier in 2015 we realised that the phone has a problem because it can not keep battery life as a result you have to charge it over and over again. I then took the iPhone to Mtn 14th Avenue for repairs on the 13th of April 2015. I received a reply from Mtn informing me that the iPhone has a water damage, kindly refer to the enclosed pictures as provided by Mtn. I strongly deny the claims that the phone is water damaged because I have been using that phone and at no point has that phone come into contact with water. Mtn can not substantiate the claims that the phone has a water damage and they are just using that excuse in order to divert liability.

I am certain that if we can take this phone for a second opinion, a factory fault or some sort of malfunctioning is what will be written on the report not water damage.
We do apologize for any inconvenience caused and for the delayed response.
We've located the booking that was done for your iPhone 5S 32GB and see that the technician that worked on the device discovered that the Liquid Damage Indicator (LDI) was discoloured. The LDI can only be triggered to change colour if it has come into contact with water or any form of moisture.
Once a device has been deemed water damaged the guarantee of the device is null and void. This is in line with the terms & conditions of the manufacturer.
You are welcome to get a second opinion with any iStore and they will assist you.
Regards
Tim
