I have never really been upset with my service provider (MTN) until now, after having my phone abruptly suspended on the 15/09/2019 and then calling through to the call center to first get told that I need to contact the technical department but they don't open on Sundays and that there was nothing they could help me with so i put the phone down and then I called again and got told that my account has been suspended due to non payment in July 2018 and that I only paid R100.00 in July 2018. Which I knew was not the case however I was told that the only way they would be able to help me is if I went and got my Bank Statements to prove payment was made and then email it to MTN or pay my account (that is only due at month end and debit order is set up). So I searched for my bank statements and contacted my Service consultant that usually assists with my upgrades and he informed me that the information I was given was incorrect and I have purely just reached my limit which can be increased over the phone, I went to the store and called the call center from my phone and answered the security questions and then handed the phone to the consultant. The way the call center agent dealt with the consultant assisting me was shocking, I was standing right in front of her listening to her try and explain what was going on to constantly over hear the call center agent cutting her off and unwilling to assist until my consultant requested a reference number for the call, only then was the agent willing to help. MTN sort your staff out. There attitude stinks and they need give correct information out. Such an inconvenience for something that could have been sorted out straight away. So grateful for the in-store consultants that made sure I was sorted out and happy before leaving the store. #rantover #****service #fedup
