On Sunday (2April 2017) I was hi-jacked . After this bad experience I went to MTN Mall@Carnival where I wanted them to do a sim swop . This was done and I paid and it was said it will take up to 2-24hours . During this period I phoned 808 to blacklist the phone . On Monday(3April 2017) 10:00 I phoned my number as the new sim was still not working and the phone rang and then was after 4rings put down in my ear . I phoned MTN who notified me the old sim was not deactivated and after blacklisting the phone the other person still had access to my phone and using my simcard . I phoned MTN and they said they send an sms to verify the sim swop and the it was denied by user . So seriously my phone was just ****** and they send a verification sms to that ****** phone . Then I was told it will be sorted from MTN side . This morning (4April 2017) I phoned again and the same story about the verification of the sim swop , now after a hi-jack I'm traveling to work without a phone . The lady on the other side said I must go back to the store and restart the proses of the sim swop . I phoned again and was told that they will do a ussd from their side which will take 2 hours 15min . After the 2 hours my phone is still not working . So the person who hi-jacked me is using a phone (which is suppose to be blacklisted ) and using all my airtime and data that was on the phone . So because of the poor service I as the customer is just on the losing side the entire time . Who's going to replace the data and airtime , and why the hell go through the trouble to blacklist a phone but it is still in use .
