Dispute in Balance ,MTN Acc Number : A***,Reference number: c926595b-5fcb-4205-9af1-4e517f60eea1

Please may this dispute in balance be treated with utmost fairness otherwise i am forced to take this up with the Ombudsman.

Before my account was moved to DMC Debt collectors it was with another debt collector ,SAYA Recoveries and I had a debit order agreement of about R400 with one higher payment of R900 in one month. End of JULY was the last debit order pulled out from SAYA Recoveries , I WAS NOT EVEN AWARE that they (SAYA Recoveries) have stopped debiting my account till recently when i called Saya Recoveries only to find out that my account is no longer with them as per MTN Instructions but rather with DMC.

Yesterday ( 2022/12/13) I called DMC to find out how much I owe as I'd like to settle my account asap ! I received balance statement from them stating that i owe MTN an amount of R4 875.45 . The outstanding amount/balance does not make sense at all , it looks as if this whole time i haven't been paying.

I have taken it upon myself to call the previous debt recovery (SAYA Recoveries) in request with my balance sheet of what was left off my account since they stopped debiting my account in JULY , without communication from MTN that my account has been moved so i can proceed with the payment arrangements as per .

Saya recoveries sent me a statement that clearly states that my owing amount is R2 845,72 , now with the statement I've received from DMC The money has increased. Would you possibly explain how this is possible ?

My understanding is that you MTN handed over my profile to (DMC) with the original amount I owed you at first ? how as i have been making payments but all this money I've been paying so long to try finish my debt seems to be in vain 😢

I see even with my credit score report the Amount DMC has on my profile/statement is what I initially owed MTN. What about the payments I've been making all this time?

Can this be looked at and rectified , if this isn't in your hands possibly give me contact details /emails where i can take this too before approaching FAIS Board to intervene.
