Dishonesty / ***** / Poor service

Was due for an upgrade. I opted for a data sim and router at the Stoneridge branch. Daniel started assisting me on the 4th of May 2024. He was not knowledgeable in the product or the system. Continually said it's a new system therefore he is finding it difficult to navigate around.

Nevertheless, he contacted me on Friday 10 May informing me everything has been approved and documents are ready to sign. Arriving at the store no documents were ready. I had to ask his colleague Peace to print it. She was very reluctant and unfriendly saying he never assists her why must she help him. My response was I'm the client and needs assistance over and above that I reminded her she gets paid a salary.

Daniel took over made me sign a receipt document where he told me to leave the date line blank. He charged R853,15 to my debit card as upfront payment to the month-to- month data contract and an additional R150 for a sim swop. He didn't provide any invoice for any of the transactions!

The data sim was not functioning, but I thought it might become active after 24 hrs.

In the meantime, I visited the Eastgate branch where I was shown the upgrade/ Contract was never processed. I started having doubts and contacted the manager at Stoneridge branch who assured me he will escalate the matter and have it resolved before COB on Saturday 11 May. I followed up several times during the day, where I was put to ease that he is on top of it and will even give me a call once it's been resolved. Not to my surprise none of the above ever realized.

I went to the Stoneridge store with the router this morning tested the router in front of the store manager and Daniel. They both were very nonchalant and unhelpful. I left the store and asked them to get the matter solved.

Upon my last follow up at 13h26 the matter has still not been seen to. I was informed the area manager is aslo looking into the matter. After being told to follow up at 14H30 I decided to leave it until 15H15 and still nothing has been done
