Dishonesty and *****.

entered into a contract with MTN. After experiencing difficulty in making payments, I was contacted by an individual who informed me that my account had been handed over by MTN. To verify this information, I contacted MTN directly. During this call, the MTN consultant asked whether I wanted to continue paying the account or close it. I clearly stated that I wanted to close the account. The consultant advised me that I could settle the required amount at an MTN store in order to close the account. I proceeded to make the payments as instructed and in good faith, with the understanding that this would fully settle the account. However, after making these payments, I did not receive any monthly statements or confirmation reflecting the status of my account. In October 2025, I contacted MTN again to request a paid-up letter and confirmation that my account had been closed. The consultant I spoke to confirmed that the account was cancelled and assured me that a paid-up letter would be sent to me. Despite this assurance, I never received the letter. On 13 January 2026, I contacted MTN once more to follow up on the paid-up letter. During this call, I was informed for the first time that I allegedly still owe insurance on the account. I questioned how this could be possible, as I had paid the full amount I was explicitly instructed to pay in order to close the account. This discrepancy was never communicated to me previously. I then requested recordings of my communications with MTN consultants for clarification and evidence of what was agreed upon. Shortly after making this request, the call was cut, which I find extremely concerning and unprofessional. I am deeply dissatisfied with the handling of my account, the lack of transparency, inconsistent information provided by MTN consultants, and the failure to issue a paid-up.
