Disgusted in MTN Cresta!
I have had the worst experience from MTN Cresta on the lower level. I went in at about 1pm on the 15th October 2019 and spoke to a guy named Sbonelo to assist me with my sim swap. I went through everything with him and proceeded to pay R115 for my new sim as my phone was ******. He then said it would take 2-24hrs for my new sim card to be activated, which was fine with me as I was only expecting a business call after 2pm on the 16 October 2019. I then waited for 24hrs and switched on my phone and it was still not activated on the network. I then immediately phoned and got through to the upper level branch where I spoke to a lady, Unfortunately I did not get her name, who then said that a sim swap for my mobile number was never requested on the system. I proceeded then to the store on the 16th October 2019 just before 2 o clock as I could not wait any longer due to me doing business on that cell number and was expecting a call on the number. I saw Sbonelo again and he said that he did request the sim swap on the day before. I then asked to see some proof that he actually did request the sim swap the day before....he then said he is waiting for the system to come up. He then asked for my sim card which I gave to him and after typing in a few things on his computer he then showed me that it was requested. I asked him to show me the date of the request and he said: "the system does not show a date". I have never heard of a system not showing a date of a transaction. Not only do I think that he **** to me, his manager also aided him in covering up his error by agreeing that the system does not show a date and that it could be a network delay. They then told me that they would escalate it and it would take another 2-24hrs. My question is why did he need my sim card to check the sim swap request if he could have just used my cell number? Why would the escalation still take 2-24hrs which is the same time frame as a new request? I am almost 100% sure that he only requested the sim swap on the day I came to query it. Why would the other consultant lie from the upper level branch? I have now lost out on a business deal because of this issue as my client had to go with another supplier due to them not being able to get hold of me and it is not a small sum of money that I have missed out on. I need MTN to explain to me how they don't have dates on their transactions processed on their system? I am now going to cancel my current 2 contracts that I have with them, which are due for upgrades next month and wanted my company to register company contracts with them which would have been about +-30 devices, but will definitely not after my last experience. I am not even going to speak about how long I waited till someone got back to me after phoning them. I would have been more satisfied if Sbonelo just told me he made an error as we are all humans and these things happen. I just cannot stand a service provider lying to me.
Thank you for acknowledging my query. However, the consultant who said that he processed the sim swapped definitely **** to me. I spoke to Mathapelo the manager on the upper level and she confirmed that Sbonelo only processed an unsuspension instead of a sim swap as per the history of the transactions. My other problem is why did Sbonelo say to me that the transaction does not have a date and time and Mathapelo confirmed that all transactions have a date and time. I do find this as being totally dishonest and would not expect it from a service provider.

You are still not answering my questions. Question 1: Why did Sbonelo say to me that the systems do not show dates on transactions? Question 2: Why would Mathapelo, the manager from the upper store, confirm and showed me on the system that a sim swap was never requested, only a suspension? Question 3: My sim was only activated after Mathapelo said to me that the sim swap was only requested on the 17th October 2019. It was only activated after Mathapelo escalated it upon visiting her store on the 17th October at about 2pm. Why do you not check with her or on the system?
