Disgust at mtn billing/lack thereof
Since the beginning of the year I have been paying my MTN acc in store, not via debit order. In April I made a payment for May in advance - was assured this would mean that no debit order would go off for May. In May I got an sms to say that my acc was overdue and would soon be suspended. I spoke to my branch manager who printed my statement which showed there was a credit and no amount owning. She reconnected my acc. This happened about 4 times in the month of May until it was disconnected the day before the strike started - leaving me without a phone for 10 days as I had no way to reconnect. Eventually I got so frustrated that I just paid for May AGAIN via ETF (R419) just to get the suspension lifted - no other way during strike. The very next day I got a call from an MTN employee informing me that my acc was EIGHT hundred rand in arrears and would be suspended without imidiate payment. A) where does this new random figure come from?! B) my acc should be R800 in credit now if anything! C) how can you employ people to collect money if you can't employ people to provide the service you are demanding we pay for?! Filing complaint with ICASA.

Upon investigating your account our system reflects that your February debit order had returned, no cash payment was made in March and on the 9th of April you had made a cash payment of R818.00 this covered the February and March invoices the debit order for March also came back returned. We had again received a cash payment in June for R420 which covered the April invoice. Thus leaving you with the May and June invoice outstanding with an amount of R827.80
We value your input and also appreciate the time you took to raise your concerns with us because it is only through constructive feedback that we can identify and improve in areas that need our urgent attention.
Rest assured, it is not our intention to displease you. We look forward to improving on the service delivery to you.
