Disconnects pre-paid sim without notification!

I bought 2 x pre-paid sims on the 14th of January at Checkers and completed the RICA process to get them activated. These were to be used by my minor daughters for banking purposes and to only use at home with wi-fi to communicate with us should they need to.

Yesterday the one sim said "not provisioned for voice". I phoned customer care (135) to be told that I need to phone customer service from the number in question. "I can't because it is not provisioned for voice". Can I put you through? ... "yes please". Eventually got through and was told that this number has been disconnected and is back in circulation to be used again. However the joke is that although I RICA'd the number, she has to speak to my MINOR 10 year old daughter to confirm that she is allowed to have me (HER MOTHER) sort out the problem on her behalf!

How is it possible that the number is dosconnected? I did not load airtime so it shows the number is not being used. I said, but both numbers are being used, both were bought on the same day and both used in exactly the same way. Sorry, she can't reconnect the number. I asked how it is possible that MTN sends multiple sms's every day regarding airtime, lotto and all competition nonsense, but can't send an sms to notify the user that the line will be disconnected! Sorry Mam I can't reconnect the number ....

Furthermore, how does this affect the banking and the joke is that whoever gets the number will now be notified of her banking transactions. What do I have to do on a Sunday? Go into the bank and disconnect their numbers from their bank accounts.

This number is RICA'd in MY name, so does it also ammend whoever owns the number now?

I will today not use MTN again and when all my business accounts come up for renewal, I can guarantee you that I will not proceed with any business dealings with MTN.
