Disappointing Service
After two weeks of endless frustration to get a number ported to a new MTN prepaid eSim, I am finally throwing in the towel.
The personnel at MTN Tzaneen Lifestyle Centre have no idea what's going on, don't understand the products and services they are selling and sends you to the mindless MTN self-help line.
The MTN helpline makes you listen to endless pre-recorded options, except the option to speak to an actual person to help you resolve an issue, a basic service that you'd expect from a reputable company’s customer services. In the end you are forced to select the ***** department option and pray that you might be lucky enough to speak to an actual person.
When you do get to speak to a person, they tell you that an eSIM can only be attended to in a physical MTN branch, so dutifully you go back to the MTN store for the umpteenth time only to be told to phone the self help line from their very not so knowledgeable staff as according to their knowledge, you cannot port your existing number to an MTN eSIM. (In contradiction to the MTN website)
My suggestion to MTN is to remove the big eSIM signage from your Tzaneen store window as clearly the staff have no idea what it means and are doing your MTN brand irreparable harm.
