Disappearing of Data

My mobile Wi-Fi has been off almost everyday since I'm using another Wi-Fi at home. I checked my MTN Wi-Fi account on the 27th December 2017 and it had 17GB I never used it at all but when I check again today on the 6th January 2018 I'm left with 9GB . What happened to my Data as I never even opened my Wi-Fi?
