Difficulty blacklisting a lost phone

<p>It is very frustrastrating to lose a phone and to top that not be able to blacklist it. I lost my phone on the 12th June 2017 and have been trying to blacklist it with no luck, everytime I call MTN I am told that their blacklisting system is offline. I do not understand how a big organization like MTN have their system down for more than a week? I need the ITC number so I can go to the police station but unfortunately I cannot do anything as MTN cannot assist me. That means even if I do a sim swap I will not have a phone to put the sim card in for a while. Potential employers will not be able to contact me and my relatives & friends who live far will not be able to contact me. This is sad indeed and it is very inconveniencing...:-(</p>
