After many months of dealing with poor MTN signal which I reported numerous times, I decided to cancel my cell phone contract. After many attempts, I reached MTN and was told I need to give a month's notice for cancellation and I should phone back on 8 June as my contract ends on 8 July. I phoned in and was told I would be charged a cancellation fee as I am canceling early. How is this fair as it is your policy I phone a month before the contract ends? I would still have the contract up until the 8th of July as it takes a month's notice! Alternatively, I should cancel once my contract ends, not have to pay the cancellation fee but pay for another month of mtn subscriptions? Very frustrating its made so difficult and makes me feel trapped in a contract where I don't get service 90% of the time.
