Last month I complained about MTN preventing me from making calls because their system doesn't switch over to postpaid billing when it's supposed to, and the limit-setting functionality doesn't work. (https://hellopeter.com/mtn/reviews/no-airtime-on-an-uncapped-account-but-system-says-it-s-fine- ********** )

Guess what? Same problem this month! In-bundle airtime depleted, out-of-bundle airtime non-functional.

To add insult to injury, MTN claims I racked up nearly R80 worth of calls *while I couldn't make calls*.

So whoever decides to give me the standard "we're so sorry but now we're going to ignore you" response, please do me a favour and include an update on ticket numbers ********** 73, ********** , ********** and my formal complaint lodged via email for which you haven't bother providing a request number.

I'd like to add that I'm seriously considering taking Cell C up on their "buy out your contract" offer - MTN clearly has no interest in retaining customers that have supported it since it started. Cell C does.

Please take note that you have a credit limit of R11 056.65 , credit limit and usage limit is 2 different functions. As per your request to change the usage limit to R1000.00 I have picked up a error and have sent the request to the back end billing system support team to set up the usage limit for R1000.00
The billing for the calls charges is for the previous package before the migration has been done. The upgrade and package migration has been done 1-6-2016 and due to the invoice date the 20th the new package has only pulled through on the network the 21-6-2016, the calls is charges on the previous package.
For the OPT problem you may call the MTN Active system support team on 1761 from the device to assist you on line.
We do pick up that the credit limit on the back end reflected as R0.00 this is the reason why the usage limit cannot be set up on your side, we have requested for the credit limit to be to be changed to R5,000. Once this is corrected the short code will work on your side.
To change the usage limit on the device please use *141*5# dial and follow options.
Kind Regards,
