Difference between PREPAID and CANCELLING MY NUMBER ENTIRELY!!

I’ve had all I can stand and I can’t stand anymore.

I have been a loyal MTN client for the last 24 years and my contract had come to an end and I wished to make it prepaid. You cannot upgrade my contract as they don’t have stock of the phone that I want and leave my number as prepaid until you can give me the phone that I want.

One of your staff members cannot understand the difference between converting me to PREPAID and CANCELLING MY NUMBER ENTIRELY and as it seems not being able to get it back. That number has been mine since I started with MTN.

I now do not have access to my phone AT ALL!! For the last month, I’ve been given the runaround with reference numbers and not a single person has been able to help me. I have been to the branch 5 times and to different Mtn stores altogether. All with the same result. Your call centre seems to be useless as nobody knows who to speak to. But for me take out a new contract you’ll are too quick to take my details down and call me numerous times! This is unacceptable customer service and I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with this matter unable to be rectified
