Device Can't Be Unlocked

I have bought a device which was network locked to MTN on 30 April 2022. Now I have tried to request for it be unlocked online. Given the code but there's no option for me to use the code. Tried the customer center they escalated it and given a reference number for follow up. Later to be told the device is unlocked of which it's not. Went to dobsonville MTN shop and they failed to assist me again. So what can I do honestly? I am tired of being moved left right and centre.
