So i was called on the 20/04/17 and offered a yellodata contract which consists of 1gb on a monthly basis which was advised that it would be R129 p/m. I was given a order reference which is as follows YD- ********** 0-1 and my banking details were taken to cover the monthly installments, however was told that i would recieve the 1gb 48 hours after the call which did not happen. I waited thinking that my order was being processed which was not the case. So on the 18/05/17 i contacted the customer service department a spoke to a lady called Michelle call ref R8_C*** who seemed very helpful at that time who said that they will have the service cancelled as i was misold a product that is for contract customer and bare in mind i am on a prepaid she sent a cancellation text and apologised on behalf of mtn for the mis sell and sent me a cancellation text which said the order had been cancelled and the direct debit would not go through. I requested to speak to a manager to confirm this and she promised to schedule a callback which has not taken place till date. On the 28/05/16- R129.00 was debitted from my account after i was advised that it wouldnt happen even after the initial error from mtn by selling a product meant for contract customers to a prepaid client.Firstly for a huge company like mtn this is totally unacceptable so i would like the issue resolved and my money refunded before i seek legal advice on this and i will only take 48 hours to await a response or i will take legal action for *****.
