I 'm using an 083 number ported to Vodacom for 9 years. On the 9th May 2015 my phone started giving me the message that my Sim card failed to register. On Monday the 11th May 2015, I called Vodacom to try to fix my Sim card. Right away the consultant tried to assist but realized that the number was no longer at their registration. She then requested me to check in my phone which network have ported my number. When checking the messages I found that the number was ported to MTN. I then phoned MTN to request them to revert the porting, which they did but that was just for one day. The next day the phone was off again. The people trying to reach me were now getting a different person who insulted them. This was my primary number. Every confidential communications, banking goes through this number. I tried to do Sim swap to reclaim but all was in vain. I now request MTN to bring back my number. pay for my black mailed name and my confidential communication which were viewed by the third party without my permission. they should come out and openly apologise to all my family, compatriots and business partner who were coughed at and insulted by the new owner of the number.
