Delivery of Repaired Handset

On the 7th of September my IPhone 6s was picked up for repairs after almost 3 months of it having to run around and trying to get someone to collect it from me . Then about two weeks later I was told to pay the excess of R300 for the repairs that where incurred . I did this . Today on the 10 of October I get a call , from Smart Phone Plus telling me that they have my device finally ready for delivery . In turn the lady that I spoke to asked if the handset that was loaned to me the IPhone 6 Gold is in he same condition , I tell yes , and make her aware that the IPhone that was loaned to me in the interim of my phone being fixed had a crack at the bottom left corner upon Delivery . She said that since I did not report that, by sending an email to MTN or calling them that they would be able to organize for delivery o my phone

I told her that reporting the matter to MTN was futile as getting through to MTN insurance was a mission and a half , and that on their emails or the internet there was no number, and their email where a non - reply one.

What I did do upon seeing the crack I made the delivery personal aware that the phone had a crack in it , and made an affidavit in the presence of the delivery personal and also gave him a signed and stamped copy , stating that the device had crack on the bottom left corner (Please see attached affidavit) . In return after disclosing this information to the Smart Phone Plus Consultant, she told me that the affidavit that was made is IRRELAVANT ! Really ?! I cant see how and affidavit stating the condition of which the handset was received in can be irrelevant .

Not only did I give the affidavit to the driver who took my handset in for repairs , but I also told him that the handset should be delivered with the affidavit so that they will be aware of the way in which the handset was delivered , I asked the lady to please contact the courier service which delivered the phone, in turn the lady from Smart Phone Plus told me that they use multiple courier services and she wont be able to track down as to who delivered/picked up the handset. How do you not keep track of that , do they randomly give couriers R15 000 worth handsets, in hoping that the right thing will be done?

In all honesty I am enough with MTN, I have been receiving bad service upon bad service , this is beyond ridiculous . You always have to wait hours before your call is answered by 808, that is if they answer , if you want some action from MTN or attention from them you have to put the on Hello Peter and they jump.

Your service is appalling , thank goodness I did not buy your shares , all I'm waiting for now is the day that my contract ends so we can part ways FOR GOOD

The reference call for the Smart Phone Plus ********** 759.90953
