Deliberate Stalling Tactics
<p>I have been trying to obtain a quote for termination of my contract and was told that only a credit officer for my account can provide this. I was given the name and contact number for that person and have been trying the entire day today and the phone went unanswered. I was told that the person is at work today. I smell a rat here - is Mtn deliberately offerring such poor custonmer service on this request line due to them trying to frustrate clients who want to terminate their services?</p>

Please make payment to Absa Bank, once received we will convert the cell number to prepaid function for you to keep the cell number. Please make sure that all the minutes, data and SMS are used up before the prepaid migration is requested.

Form: ABSA DEPOSIT SLIP/DEPOSITO STROKIE
Beneficiary Name: MTN SP
Beneficiary Account Number: ***
Branch Code: 632005
Deposit Reference: Your MTN cell phone number or your MTN account number.
Only one of the above mentioned reference numbers must be entered on the deposit slip. That will ensure correct allocation of payments to your MTN SP account unless incorrectly received on bank statement. You may email the proof of payment for early cancellation to ***.

It would have been better to have a more responsive and available service thorugh the actual call centre operations ratherthan having to resort to this means.
PS. I did manage to get through to the person concerned the next day and received feedback.
