I have been trying to cancel my contract and migrate to prepaid since july2015.The outstanding on my account was settled when MTN was on strike.an email was sent by myself and staff from the stanger branch to cancel the contract and migrate to prepaid and this was not done,I managed to contact call centre on 15/09/2015 after numerous attempts to get through to legal department were unsuccessful , and was told it would be 3-5days to cancel contract and migrate to prepaid. On the 30/09/2015 when I followed up with call centre again, was told I have to pay R699 to migrate. I have now received an invoice for R2097 for a service that is not in use and my migration cannot take place unless I pay this amount. I an unemployed due to retrenchment and cannot afford to pay this amount and feel violated as mtn could have done this migration when the final outstanding amount was settled in July.Is mtn going to continue charging me for a service I do not want until I manage to get employment to pay them. I would like someone to please assist as no one returns my mails or queries left with the call centre.
Best regards,
