Deflection of the issue

My contracts came to an end and I phoned MTN to make them pre-paid, after some haggling with retentions, I managed to get them converted to pre-paid and was given a reference number: ***. Today I checked and they still contract. I phoned and again and was transferred to contract depart and soon as I mentioned cancel, the phone line had a problem and silence.
