DECEPTIVE & FALSE MARKETING BY MTN

Be warned that MTN CREDIT LIMIT is nothing but a ****. My SIM card has a credit limit of R300 that is to protect and control unnecessary expenses by me or any other person that accesses my phone, in this case my cell was ****** and the ***** accumulated charges that amounted to R43 888.54. After MTN Accounts did their so called investigation, I was advised that I am liable for the charges because \when a sim card is constantly in use their system is unable to dictate usage in order to lock sim card to the set credit limit ". What kind of nonsense. How is then the technicality of failure in their system has to be my problem. The service provider does not take accountability for their *********** system yet as client I was made to believe my account was protected by this credit limit

I am flabbergasted beyond comprehension by the SYSTEM response that is made to be my responsibility as if I am the one who installed it for MTN. I am escalating the matter to the National Consumer Commission and will take legal action against this deception by MTN. I will never ever in my whole entire life take a contract with MTN nor use their services. This is my 1st and last bad experience with them"""

Hello HANISEz,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

I am terribly sorry for the inconveniences experienced as a result this. I completely understand the frustration it causes. Please fax us a certified copy of ID and police affidavit stating that the phone was ****** and there were charges incurred to *** and quote the below reference number.

Best regards
Mantoa
