Debiting account after contract cancelled
Hi I had a query late last year on cancellation of a contract.

A call centre agent by the name of Alice van der merwe ( [Email Removed] contacted me and explained I could only cancel In January.

I was happy to receive the feedback and In January 2016 confirmed that the contract would be cancelled. Alice confirmed this to me and I have this on record via e-mail.

I checked my account yesterday and MTN SP is still debiting my account which is absolutely unacceptable. I have not given authorisation for this as the contract is cancelled. This is basically \theft\" from my bank account.

Is this how MTN does business??

I would like an explanation immediately. I will be instructing my bank to reverse the debit order today.

I contacted Alice yesterday but have not received a response.

If this is not sorted out I will escalate it further, and if so get my lawyer involved as I find this totally unacceptable.

The amount is R280.70 which is not large, but to me this is a principle issue and ethical issue on MTN's behalf.

I expect a response soonest.

Nick

"
