Debit order on cancelled contract

I subcribed to a 2 year MTN contract in April 2014 and was expiring on April 4th 2016. I called in March 2016 notifying of the termination and cancerllation of the contract and was advised to call again in 4 April on the day of expiry. I called MTN a the 5 April and it was confirmed that the contract will be cancelled and changed to prepaid. I was also advised that I will not get subscription airtime & data benefit on the 10th April but the bill for April will go through as the last debit amaount. At the end of April the last debit order went through; I also realised that the same amount was debited in end May, I then called the 808 customer care on 2 June enquiring of the debited amount and was told that the line was migrated not cancelled they will process a cancelation. I asked the consultant who answered my call why the line was not cancelled but she only told me she cannot do anything because she was not the one helping me on the day I requested cancellation. I requested my bank to reverse the amount hence the MTN is supposed to continue debiting my account for a service that has expired. All I need is to cancel this contract and make sure that no future debits will go through from my bank account.
