Dear MTN Support, I recently submitted my phone for a battery replacement, but I have been informed that the repair cost is over R4,000 due to additional damage. I only requested a battery replacement, as the screen damage occurred long ago and was my responsibility. Since the battery issue is not my fault, I believe MTN should repair it without adding unrelated charges. The price you are quoting is almost the same as buying a new phone from places like Phone Yam or Pep Home. I don’t see the logic in paying that much for a repair when I could simply get a new device elsewhere. Could you please clarify why the cost is so high and whether I can proceed with just the battery replacement? I would appreciate your urgent response and assistance in resolving this matter.
