Deactivation of roaming and international calling services

MTN de-activated my roaming and international calling services and told me that it was done through self service on calling and they activated it . The next week i spent the whole week in another country with zero service. on returning i called and was told the same thing that they not active...lost business during that week. its quite a common occurrence in my experience as a user of their service.
