I have two grave issues with MTN. Firstly I have been billed an extra R500 on my contract debit for the month of November when I did not consent or confirm that a usage limit be opened on my mobile number: ********** by anyone at MTN. This I’m sure is an ******* act in all ways possible & the consultant who assisted me upon opening up my contract did not inform me in anyway about such a thing if ever & the biggest blunder they made is that this usage limit thing only got opened up now in the month of November 2018 & never before had I received such billing or messages. Secondly they have rejected my insurance claim on my phone. After the gentlemen from the insurance company called me and basically ******* me into giving wrong days and dates of which I am not sure of. I told the gentlemen it is impractical to remember the exact day and date of something that has happened, especially when it’s something as trivial as one’s mobile device breaking as a result of an accident. What was unfair was this gentlemen was insisting I give him a date and remember and I told him there is no way I can remember the exact date and day and why do they not have other means of establishing the legitimacy of a claim on insurance either than these ************ methods they employ. I honestly feel insurance companies should have other criteria in place in order to review insurance claims by clients/ customers as this is ****************.
