Daylight ******* - NEVER PURCHASE MTN HOME WIFI!!!!!

Good day. I purchased home Wifi from MTN in January 2024. This is an upfront payment contract on a month-to-month basis and the only debit order date that they allowed was on the 4th of each month (e.g. I pay on the 4th of September for the October service). On the 27th of August, I notified them that I want the contract cancelled by the end of October, meaning that September 4th should be the last debit order.

They responded by saying the only way I can cancel the contract is to bring the router back to the store at least 4 days before the debit order goes off. After challenging them that this is not fair because I already paid for the whole of October (on 4 Sept), and they are bullying me by saying that the only way to initiate the cancellation is to bring the router back (4 days before the next debit order). Thus, the only way that I can get out of the contract is to basically pay for a whole month with no service received back at all.

Please help me herewith, I am under severe financial pressure and can simply not afford to take such a loss. THey are likely doing the same to all of their other customers as well.
